Kabar baik datang dari official Microsoft bahwa Sistem Operasi milik mereka “Windows 8” nanti bakalan dirilis dengan fitur support dengan hadware USB 3.0. Sobat tentunya sudah tahu – Apa itu USB 3.0? Ya betul, USB 3.0 adalah hadware versi ke-3 dari standar Universal Serial Bus (USB) untuk koneksi komputer (wikipedia).
Dengan USB 3.0 maka kecepatannya 10x lipat lebih cepat dari USB 2.0 dan peningkatan ketahanan power sehingga baterai bertahan lebih lama. Pada tahun 2015, semua komputer diperkirakan sudah menggunakan port USB 3.0 ini, dan diperkirakan juga sekitar lebih dari 2 juta hadware USB "SuperCepat" ini terjual.
One of the important roles Windows plays as part of a broad ecosystem is developing support for new hardware. This is a pretty involved process and so for this post we wanted to take a look at supporting USB 3.0, something we know everyone is anxious to be using because of the improvements it brings. This is also our first video post – we aimed for "engineering" videos and not high production values but I think we make our point (note videos are embedded in HTML5 and available for download).
